Editing
Here's more about what we do and how it works:
Wondering if you need an editor?
- The very best published writers work with editors who check their work for mistakes and problems, and there is a good reason for this. As a writer, you have been deeply involved in your project, and while focusing on the ideas, you may miss things. Every writer needs an editor who will go over the manuscript carefully, with great attention to detail, and with a fresh pair of eyes. Journals regularly reject papers with excellent ideas that are poorly written. We can help you avoid this fate, and get published.
- Although professors will grade your paper and possibly make a few comments, they do not have the time to comment on every problem, as we will. They are much more likely to lower your grade for English mistakes than they are to simply correct them for you and move on to consideration of your ideas.
Here's how it works:
- If you are a new client, fill out the form on our "Get Started" page so we know how to contact you and more about your project.
- a. If you would like an estimate for a project, attach your paper at the bottom of the form. We will get back to you with an estimate.
OR
- b.To submit your paper to be edited, attach your paper at the bottom of the form.
- At the same time, we comment on any problems in your text that need your attention, such as things that need to be rethought or rewritten by you.
- We notify you that we have finished editing your paper.
- You make a payment on our secure site. (Special arrangements may be available if you do not have a credit or debit card).
- We email you two copies of the edited paper: a "marked-up" copy showing our (suggested) changes, and a final copy that you can use as is if you like.
- You review our suggested changes and comments, and make any changes you wish to make.
- If you like, we will review any changes you have made in response to our suggestions. Additional charges may apply. We then email you the final paper.
